Powerful poetry in a girly wrapper

Perfect for Valentine’s Day, this small, square book is surely feminine. Any man who includes it with roses or chocolates for his sweetheart will get extra Brownie points.

Tucked inside is powerful poetry, by standard persons and iconic writers such as Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Emily Dickinson, Kahlil Gibran, C.S. Lewis, Anne Morrow Lindbergh and William Shakespeare. Browning’s “How do I love thee? Let me count the ways” and passages from “Romeo and Juliet” leap off the page in the Romantic chapter. In the Open chapter, a passage from Matthew (18:3) reads: “Unless you become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

One of my favorites is from Rabbi Lawrence Kushner: “Hold up your hands before your eyes. You are looking at the hands of God.”

Thought-provoking and evocative, these words are worth reading again and again. They’ll last longer than the roses or chocolates.

A perfective gift!

I love how Jane mixes thoughts from numerous sources, from theologians to poets and even every day persons she has met over the years – creating a compilation that will inspire and uplift without sounding too ‘syrupy’. Jane’s beauteous art within the book serves as a gorgeous accompaniment to the inspirational sentiments as well. I don’t see how any individual could look at her colorful paintings and not smile a little.

Overall a perfective gift for closely anyone. I’d personally buy more than one just to keep on hand for that unexpected occasion where a little gift is needed, say for a hostess gift or something similar. (LOL we all know you may only give so a good deal of scented candles and bottles of wine.)

Life Is messy but you may clean it up!

Having been a Jane Seymour fan for years I may tell you that the books she has written have saved me from aroused dispair lots of times….I recognise this to be true because she is my best friend…The strength her words have given me have lasted more than 27 years of friendship, she has a way of making the seemingly inconceivable possible…that is because she knows how live and how to love all those around her and then she takes on the whole world! She has so much love to give and I recognise this to be unfeigned she has loved me indepth so a lot of tough times… she truely loves us all!
